Product Description Like a dandelion in the wind, Hope Ladley blows from one farm to the next, helping cook for the field hands during the harvest. Illiterate and often twisting cliches and Bible verses into mind-boggling observations, Hope leaves widower Jakob Stauffer baffled by her unconventional ways. But her sunny disposition and unstinting love make changes of a different kind around the place. His little daughter and the pregnant sister he's shielding from an abusive husband adore Hope, and things are getting accomplished even if Hope's methods are unique. Then Jakob's brother-in-law shows up and threatens the newfound peace and happiness of the farm. With Jakob's future uncertain and his heart tangled, can the farmer convince Hope to take root and remain as his wife?

Lovely! September 5, 2010 L. Elise Benson (Hampton, VA, USA) I don't usually like books that mention God on every single page, but this was a delightful read. I want to read the rest of her books now!
Forevermore....Surprisingly Great read September 3, 2010 Tirees I was so pleasantly surprised by this book! Don't take this wrong...but...sometimes Christian Romances can be a little lame. Then when I saw the era it was taking place in I was definintely hesitant but....free is free. When I sat down to read this I was so drawn in I couldn't believe it. I loved how the book was so true to the period it was written about and still so relatable to Christians today. We are all just getting through day to day trying to do the right thing and bring honor to God. Anyway, I'm a fan and will definitely even pay to read more by this author!
Really spoke to my heart August 21, 2010 SkeeterN (Ohio) The faith and sweetness of Hope Ladley story came at a good time for me. It spoke to my heart deeply. This is wonderful book and I enjoyed it so much. I know my review is small but it says it all. Read this book you will not be sorry
Wonderful book 2 of a series of 4! August 10, 2010 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I loved this book. I have bought all the rest of the series and am now on book 3. Book 1 was still great even after reading book 2 first.
Simple, cute story August 9, 2010 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This was a very cute story. The writing style is very simple but that adds to the environment and feel of the story. Not a great romance, but still a cute book.
One thing about this book bugged me though. The main character uses dialectical speech - which is fine in and of itself - except that the author messed it up. Throughout the book, Hope uses the word "y'all" (a contraction of the words "you all") when speaking to one person. I understand that she is uneducated, however I have lived in the south for my entire life and even the countriest of bumpkins only says "y'all" when speaking to multiple people. I understand that this is a small detail, but it happened throughout the entire book and it drove me insane.
