Product Description
What if conflicts at home, conflicts at work, and conflicts in the world stem from the same root cause? And what if individually and collectively we systematically misunderstand that cause, and unwittingly perpetuate the very problems we think we are trying to solve? Through an intriguing story of parents struggling with their troubled children and with their own personal problems, "The Anatomy of Peace" shows how to get past the preconceived ideas and self-justifying reactions that keep us from seeing the world clearly and dealing with it effectively. Yusuf al-Falah, an Arab, and Avi Rozen, a Jew, each lost his father at the hands of the other's ethnic cousins. As the story unfolds, we discover how they came together, how they help warring parents and children to come together, and how we too can find our way out of the struggles that weigh us down. The choice between peace and war lies within us. As one of the characters says, "A solution to the inner war solves the outer war as well." This book offers more than hope -- it shows how we can prevent the conflicts that cause so much pain in our lives and in the world.

The Anatomy of Peace is A W E S O M E August 3, 2010 Laurent Weichberger (Arizona) I have read many books, about self-awareness and management, and other issues, but I have NEVER read a book like this. The Arbinger Institute nailed it. Wow. Everyone should read this book, and every manager, and every head of state, and every General.
Change the World. July 18, 2010 Shirley This book is the simple answer to the need of our World.
The drastic idea of not 'taking sides' is clearly an advantage to a peaceful life.
To activate the philosophy, each person needs to re-think and then practise keeping his heart at peace.
Having dealt with ourselves, we can put the book into the hands of our local council/government personel and wait for a change of attitude.
Remember 'big trees from little acorns grow'.
A MUST READ for EVERYONE June 16, 2010 L. Reeves Everyone should be required to read this.
Should be a required "reading" in all Psychology classes.
Simply put, and an easy read with basic, practical, understandable
principles to produce peaceful living in yourself and those around
you. Follows the Biblical concept of "If you know the right
thing to do, and do not do it, it is sin".
Insights into relationships June 8, 2010 Peter Roessler (Victoria, Australia) An excellent book written as a story but cleverly depicts relationship issues and how negative feelings and attitudes towards others is reciprocated resulting in a vicious cycle with no winners. The Anatomy of Peace is a good title because the book dissects the behavioural processes and presents solutions to them in a very readable fashion.
There is an element of repetetiveness which serves to re-inforce some of the principles.
Very readable and highly recommended for anyone wishing to learn and gain insights into behaviours and their effects on relationships.
Life-Changing Insight May 26, 2010 T. Dannaher (Port Orchard, WA USA) What eye-opening, enlightening books this and its companion are! Written in novel form rather than boring, dry text, the book explores how we get trapped in negative interactions and how, with a simple change in our internal interpretation of others and their interactions with us, we can create a more positive, communicative interaction. I really loved that the authors continued that line of education by reminding the reader that we're all human and all capable of mistakes, and that it's okay if you don't succeed in your efforts every time. What matters is that you keep trying. This book, and its companion book, have made a huge difference in the way I perceive the world and other fellow human beings in my everyday interactions. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in making the world a better place in simple, easy to apply steps.
